Platformer Progress - Goo Enemy Sprite WIP

Well hello again to ya all, today there's more of a progressing update to the Moof project for one key reason, the enemies of the game, they're actually getting more developed sprites now.


The older sprites were weird shaped, and too small, this time around I wanted to make them simpler, more fluid looking, and bigger to be easier to see in gameplay.

The top 3 next to Moof are the older beta sprites, all of the ones below are the current working on new sprites.


Key differences in what I wanted to and am trying to do is make them more comical and lively given what they are, making small things like them squishing up a bit when they bump into a wall, like this sprite being zoomed into to show it in full.

So far it's just the generic, no mech and no alternate form having goo creatures, but hey, it's better than nothing, they're getting progress nonetheless and they look good.


The last post had the sketches of their concept but I realized it sent weird, and without a non-transparent background, but for fixing that and comparing the sprites, compare those to the original sketch: (Hopefully this one will load with a background this time to it)

At least got a goo lad testing base and a test of the cannon wielding one on the bottom-left. I feel like it's going smooth enough.


It's not too long of an update, but it is very much an important update since these are the main things I need made before expanding into other levels and the greater world the Moof will explore.


I have to keep working on these funky little guys, so until then this will be the extent of this update, will bring more to show you for the next one so.. until next time.
