Hello to everyone, sorry for the lack of recent posts, a mix of a lot of trial and erroring game factors, and some irl conditions kinda came in the way. However, am here to show a bit of what is directly going on as of the moment.
Text itself funny enough may not be too long, however it is something I made mention of a few times in the past, a Dive for the Moof.
For those who aren't familiar with it, this dive for some reason has a history of events to it, a lot, if not all of them being some form of pain to manage.
At first it would only move him about 5 inches forward without holding a direction key down, but then you're just moving in the air which would defeat the purpose of it, Then it was either not launching at all or going too far down (gravity wise, a bad arc)
Well, so far at least, there IS a bit of development to it.. both good and not-so good.
Plus side is, it is KINDA working, making a fast horizontal dash.
Down side is, if the video didn't show it clear enough, there is some lingering issues with THIS test-run now, because of course there is.
I have some trials currently, mostly due to needing refinement like making sure the Dive animation will ALWAYS play cause sometimes it just seems to not. But some are weird, some maybe by coding, and one I can't even explain myself.
Because while using a "Move-to" action might be causing the dive to glitch and have Moof stuck in the air (which outside of recording happened a few times), Ones like diving ONLY to the left just.. keeps doing it repeatedly despite Mirrored and not sharing the EXACT SAME ACTIONS is definitely one that baffles me.
Coding I am middling with, visuals are my stronger suit afterall. But I DO want to get this working afterall, unfortunately that comes with time, which for now I do not have yet. I will have to update more on the matter later, so for now at least, that'll have to be all from me.
