Hello everyone, and Happy (belated) Holidays,

Apologies about it being so long since the last post here, December was occupied with both the Holiday season, and just overall a collection of several issues and emergencies that kept me back a bit, but am here now.

While it might not be too much, thought I would still show some of what I got, some planning and some proper visual illustration.

Getting the planning out of the way first is two things. First is trying to fix the Dive to see what I can replace it with/adding a grounded version, Second is trying to make a more detailed HUD layout.

The current dive I have kinda just.. doesn't work, so was looking into fleshing it out more, swapping the arc in-air for something that can allow more movement style points, and even a possible grounded option with ideas for interacting off of enemies should they be in the path of the initial boost.

As for the HUD, it's mostly styling it some (not be just the boring minimalist approach) by adding a nice trim that'd go with the color of the big-coin on the top right and have some gold on both sides, as well as giving some more detailed layout info bits to things like the big-coin pieces, possible hit-count, stuff like that.

Coding it will be the next part though, hope to show soon.

Outside of that is some proper concept illustrations. So far a lot of my stuff has been sketches recently, I DID however make one piece I would want to show here, in color and all.

The world where the Moofs are set in I wanted to have a whole thing of vast beautiful areas, a city made of crystal, an island owned by a whole species of small blue fellows (the Moofs), and in this case, something more cosmic.

I wanted something seen in-concept as the idea of vast space, a stretch of area seeming endless, but lingering inside is something to be depicted as a divine entity. A grand prismatic figure that scales notably bigger than creatures that find themselves in-front of it, mythological in inspiration.

Not something for the Moof game itself but more lore of the world, a cosmic being seen as something of Grand Space, represented like neon sky art or a constellation given life.

The world is vast, vibrant, and filled with things most have never seen, And if it exists, Moof will explore it. It might be a bit of a smaller listing, but I am trying where I can.

I ideally want to make a playable beta soon, but I keep trying to make it "when I feel good with how Moof plays", the common problem is at the moment changing the dash system, and trying to fix one annoyance with wall jumps at the moment.

I will update more with this later, but that will come in time unfortunately, so for now that will have to be all from me for the time.
