Blender Processing - Body Modeling for an Abstract Shopkeeper

Hello again, in the last post I had showed my attempts to model a default Muffin object for the purposes of digitizing it into sprite form akin to games like Toy Story on the Snes/Genesis, or Donkey Kong Country.

In that post, I had mentioned my other modeling goals for my main project were (at least) two other things. the Big Coin and it's shard pieces, and one character.. Well for some reason instead of doing the logical next step and moving to the coin, I ended up going with the alternative.

It might only be the body, but I have some results coming along.

Smaller details apply too,

The body/cloak comes with a neckhole, a belt strap, and neck layer.

The hands come with the visible bone decor, a knuckle for the mit-finger, and claws

No head yet though as can be noticed, that's going to be it's own field day to account for down the line.

He's going to be a different case when his model is done and ready enough to use. I don't want to spoil too much of that yet, but I intend to make him uncanny compared to the rest of the artstyle the project he's involved in will use.

Past concepts give a good idea into a bit of the look I want for him, a shopkeep to use collected Muffins in levels on, but with this etherial disturbed look (he himself is a chill guy)

A twisting face where the eye is always pointed at the viewer, with a sharp-toothed smile.

Said twisting motions is however what worries me to model, however I am to believe finding a workaround for this is possible.. if needing a bit of Trial and Error to achieve that goal.

For being my second thing modelled in like.. 2-3 years, or 3rd thing OVERALL, I want to believe this is coming along nicely. Giving it the bones and all to animate with however scares me, but am hoping that in-practice it will be easy enough to get a grasp on.

I can update more on that after I got his head done, and I will hopefully update on THAT soon enough as right now it's his body that's done. So at least until there's further development, this will have to be all from me for now.
